Yesterday, we hosted our Investment, Innovation, and Internationalisation 1-Day Workshop in collaboration with the Academic Health Science Network. The event aimed to assist digital and life science organisations in securing funding and exploring international growth opportunities.
AHSNs are a collaborative network in England that drives healthcare innovation and improved patient outcomes. They bring together healthcare providers, academics, businesses, and stakeholders to address challenges, adopt innovation, and enhance best practices in various healthcare areas.
Our event kicked off with an Innovation Ignition Icebreaker, setting the tone for an engaging day. Participants then delved into crafting compelling elevator pitches using their value propositions, a critical skill for securing funding. The Rapid Discovery Session followed, where participants honed their "Ask" and value proposition. A lively panel session with interactive Q&A provided invaluable insights.
Lunch was a working session, fostering collaborative discussions. In the afternoon, participants had the privilege of engaging with Raman Sehgal, founder of ramarketing, during the "Growing Global" session. Raman is an entrepreneur who founded several niche companies, including a multimillion-dollar international marketing agency specializing in the global life science space. He shares his knowledge worldwide as a keynote speaker, podcaster, blogger, Forbes Agency Council member, and guest university lecturer.
The day continued with exploring the art of storytelling and pitching using the Vision Canvas framework. A brief break offered a chance to recharge before elevator pitch presentations, followed by a session review and outlining the next steps.
💡 Innovation and Internationalisation: Participants explored pathways for growth in health, care, and life sciences sectors.
💼 Investment Readiness: Attendees learned innovative strategies to become investment-ready.
💰 Funding Insights: Valuable insights were shared by funding experts.
🌍 International Expansion: Opportunities for global growth were explored.
Our agenda featured interactive sessions, expert panels, and case studies, providing attendees with actionable insights. Participants dedicated significant time to practice their elevator pitches and prepare for funding, a crucial aspect of the session.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Academic Health Science Network North East and North Cumbria for their unwavering support in driving innovation and expansion in the healthcare industry.
We would also like to congratulate all the attendees for their hard work, and we look forward to witnessing how they will apply their newfound knowledge and tools.
