At Yohlar, we believe innovation and inclusion are not separate goals—they go hand in hand. That’s why we’re proud to continue our collaboration with ABConnexions (ABC) at this year’s Inclusion By Default (IBD) Conference 2025, where we’ll be using the Inclusive Innovation Framework (IIF) to help co-create a roadmap for inclusion across the North East and beyond.
Championing Inclusion with ABC
ABC is a not-for-profit organisation that has championed inclusive economic and community growth since 2009. From the ABC Awards to the launch of the Inclusion By Default campaign, ABC has worked to create spaces where underrepresented communities thrive, and where inclusion is not an afterthought—but the starting point.
In 2020, they set an ambitious goal: to make the North East the most inclusive region in the UK by 2025.
Inclusion Beyond Tick-Boxes
We’ve all seen the surface-level gestures: rainbow logos during Pride, one-off diversity training, or stock images that attempt to represent inclusion. These actions may raise awareness, but they don’t embed real change.
ABC recognised this disconnect—and so did we.
That’s why Yohlar partnered with ABC to develop the Inclusive Innovation Framework (IIF): a practical, interactive model that helps individuals and organisations make meaningful and sustainable change.

The Inclusive Innovation Framework (IIF)
Rooted in Yohlar’s Power of 3 methodology—Toolset, Skillset, and Mindset—the IIF empowers organisations to embed inclusion at the heart of their strategies. Whether you’re a public sector leader, SME founder, or social enterprise innovator, the IIF gives you the tools to:
Integrate inclusion into existing innovation frameworks (Design Thinking, Lean Start-up, Blue Ocean, etc.)
Develop inclusive cultures and products simultaneously
Create strategic pathways for long-term impact
Join Us at the IBD Conference 2025
This year’s will be a hands-on, interactive event where leaders, change-makers, and inclusion advocates come together to co-create an actionable inclusion roadmap.
Yohlar will be guiding attendees through the Inclusive Innovation Framework—helping each organisation reflect, challenge assumptions, and spark meaningful next steps. The event is designed to be fun, practical, and transformative.
